Rihanna
Robyn Rihanna, better popularly known as Rihanna in Barbados, is a Barbadian artist and performer who has released hit songs like Pon de Replay Umbrella SOS and Take a Bow. Young and extremely successful singer-songwriter she is already one of history's best selling performers. Born in Barbados, she grew up the joy of reggae, and even began singing when she was a young child. Due to the turmoil in her household and the fights her parents had with each other, she began to pursue music. Soon she decided she wanted to become a singer. She formed a musical group while still in high school and was able to have perform with producer Evan Rodgers who was highly impressed with the talent of the young girl. The producer requested that the teenager move into New York and pursue a singing career full-time. Rihanna was thrilled to accept. Rihanna became a huge hit as her debut album landed on the shelves. She was a favorite amongst young people due to her lively and foot-tapping songs. The result was Rihanna taking up directing. Nowadays, she's a teenage model and a the fashion icon. Rihanna is also actively involved with charities and makes use of her fame.
