Gina Joy Carano is a former mixed martial artist, actress and fitness model. Her career began as a Muay Thai fighter and was recognized as the face of women's MMA. She has an impressive Muay Thai competition record of 12 wins one loss and one draw. It is the first American woman to have won an award from Thailand in Muay Thai. She trained in gymnastics, jazz tap ballet and horse riding while growing up and excelled in basketball volleyball and softball at school. She is also trained in Jiu-Jitsu as well as wrestling. Her MMA career consists of seven victories and one loss. The combination of her strength techniques and her personality in addition to her beauty and laid back attitude which made her an incredibly popular MMA fighter. Haywire and Fast & Furious 6' are two of her Hollywood blockbuster movies. There were many critics who said that she was using her sexual appeal to promote her career.
