Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports as young as 14. As well as BJJ classes She also took classes in boxing, wrestling, and kickboxing. In the age of 18, Ladd made her debut as an amateur at WCFC. Ladd was on a stunning 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In each of the three bouts she beat her opponent in the very first round. She went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous decision. Aspen won over Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia had a superior record to Aspen as she beat her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's record as an amateur was affected. Ladd bounced back from her defeat and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight one. Aspen turned professional in 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. At InvictaFC 11, she had her very first professional fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. Invicta Fc 16 was her first bout as a bantamweight. Aspen defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar in second round. Aspen used superior wrestling to take down McGill in third round TKO. Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) in the weight of a "catchweight"(138.1lb) as Ladd was unable to put on weight. Aspen, however, dominated Hoy through TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her final promotion bout. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks was a unanimous winner. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, against Lina Langsberg. She was a step ahead of Lina with a ground-and-- - pounded her for an TKO victory in the second round. Ladd remained in the lead, and won an even bigger victory against Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd ended Evinger in the opening round and got an outstanding performance bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent for an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her first major match. The two fighters put on an intense battle that concluded with Ladd taking a unanimous win and both fighters getting the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within 16-seconds, ending her win streak. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya after the third round in UFC at ESPN 7. Her most recent bout for the UFC she took on Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 in a rematch fight. It was a unanimous decision against her.
